Configuration for the client portal — the secure site where matter clients sign in:

• Sender email — the From address on client-portal invite and sign-in code emails. Leave blank to use the Athenty default.
• Require SMS verification — after the email code, clients must also enter a 6-digit SMS code sent to the phone number on their matter participant record.

Loan activity notifications moved

Notifying the relevant loan clients (the lender and/or borrower) when a loan advance, draw, or payment is recorded is now configured per matter, on the matter’s Notifications tab — not as an org-wide toggle here. Add a matter notification with one of the Loan advance recorded, Loan draw recorded, or Loan payment recorded trigger events (channel email) to opt that matter in; an org or division default can be set once and inherited, and a matter override wins. It is off by default — a matter with no loan notification sends nothing. Only clients with portal access on the matter are notified.

Configuration vs. people

This page holds configuration only. The inventory of clients with portal access — including the org-wide disable control (Owners and Admins only) — lives on the Participants module ▸ Portal tab. Per-matter portal access is granted and revoked on each matter’s Participants tab by staff assigned to the matter, Managers, Admins, or Owners.

Revoking access always takes effect immediately. The matter-close grace period only extends access on a closed matter whose access grant is still in place — it never delays an explicit revoke.
